The Athena Royal Cruise isn't merely a vessel — it's a floating palace conceived to dissolve the boundary between nature's raw grandeur and human refinement. Launched in 2022, her 58-metre hull was shaped by naval architects who spent years studying how light falls across Ha Long Bay at dawn.

Every timber, every hand-stitched upholstery panel, every piece of lacquerware on board was sourced from Vietnamese artisans. The result is a ship that feels less like a hotel and more like a private island that happens to move.

Twenty suites — none smaller than 28 square metres — open onto private balconies or terraces where the bay becomes your personal panorama. Mornings begin with tai chi on a deck washed in coral light; evenings end with a chef's tasting menu and the soft percussion of waves against limestone.

We cap every voyage at 40 guests, because some experiences lose their magic the moment they become crowded. Aboard Emperor Dragon, the bay belongs to you.
