Lan Ha Bay sits directly south of Ha Long, quieter and with a fraction of the boats. This is the two-night route we recommend most.

Day one: the long way in

Most boats leave Got Pier in the early afternoon, threading between limestone islets. Browse our overnight cruises or read the UNESCO listing.

The bay does not perform for you. It is doing what it has done for three hundred million years.

Check the tide table before booking a date — lagoon access is tidal, not scheduled.
